The ISO 50001: 2011 certificate that FPT Data Center achieved, demonstrated the unit's commitment to energy saving towards "green data center".

TUV Nord issued ISO 50001: 2011 certification (Energy management system - requirements and instructions for use) for Data Center of FPT Telecom. FPT Telecom is the second unit, after Song Cong Diesel, in Vietnam to achieve this certificate.

The ISO 50001: 2011 series of standards provide the requirements for energy management systems. Therefore, by applying this energy management system standard, businesses will get the benefits of cost reduction and improved energy efficiency.

The representative of FPT Telecom said that obtaining ISO 50001: 2011 certification is the first step to show the company's long-term orientation in saving energy, being friendly with the environment, and at the same time standardizing and building the “green data center”.

Saving energy is a regular activity of FPT Telecom in maintaining Data Center. In 2011, Panasonic, IDC Frontier and NEC experts surveyed and advised FPT on energy saving measures at Data Center and FPT Cau Giay Building. By applying energy-saving measures according to the advice of IDC Frontier and NEC, Data Center has reduced electricity bills by 300 million dong.

ISO 50001: 2011 is an international standard on Energy Management System issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on 15/6/2011. ISO 50001: 2011 is an effective tool for all organizations and businesses to establish, apply and maintain an Energy Management System to improve energy efficiency, and at the same time create a basis for self-assessment, self-declaration, or assessment and certification of fulfillment of energy management standards by Certification Bodies.

At FPT Fornix HN02 Data Center, Hanoi, we offer our customers:

UPS system with internal bypass, maintenance bypass, and external bypass: ensuring uninterrupted operation during maintenance, upgrades, or repairs.
Backup time: Minimum of 15 minutes at full load.
Distance between 2 rack rows: the front of the cabinet is 1200mm, the back is 1000mm.
